PTFE Demister Product Introduction
PTFE Demister, also called PTFE mist eliminator, is a vital tower internal component designed for vapor‑liquid separation inside industrial towers. It is composed of multi‑layer knitted PTFE mesh and a supporting frame made of PP or PTFE. For large‑diameter towers, we adopt a segmented split modular structure for convenient transportation and field assembly.
When gas stream carrying fine mist droplets flows through the knitted mesh layer, liquid droplets collide with PTFE fibers, gather together, form larger drops and flow downward under gravity. In this way, entrained mist and foam are removed effectively from the gas.
Thanks to excellent chemical inertness of PTFE material, our demister can withstand strong acid, strong alkali and most corrosive media. It delivers mist‑removal efficiency above 98 % with low pressure drop. Custom‑made shapes including circular, rectangular and special segmented forms are available. Diameter, thickness, mesh density and frame material can be produced according to your tower drawing data.
This PTFE demister is widely used in absorption towers, scrubber columns, desulfurization towers, waste‑gas treatment projects, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and new‑energy industries.
