Core Application Areas of 16–19% Alumina Inert Ceramic Balls
1. Petrochemical and coal chemical industries: Hydrorefining, hydrocracking, catalytic reforming, isomerization, alkylation fixed-bed reactors; oil refining towers, washing towers, buffer towers; used at the top/bottom/interlayer of the bed to support the catalyst, ensure uniform oil and gas flow, prevent flow deviation, stabilize pressure drop, and prevent catalyst erosion and breakage.
2. Fertilizer and Natural Gas Purification: Ammonia synthesis converters, shift converters, urea units; natural gas desulfurization and decarbonization towers, molecular sieve drying towers, adsorption towers; supporting purification catalysts, buffering high-pressure airflow, protecting adsorbents, and stabilizing gas purification indicators.
4. Environmental Waste Gas Treatment: VOCs catalytic combustion, RCO regenerative catalytic converter, acid and alkali waste gas scrubbing tower, high-temperature waste gas adsorption tower; heat insulation buffer, uniform waste gas distribution, protection of catalytic modules, and improvement of exhaust gas purification effect.
5. Industrial kilns and heat exchange equipment: medium and low temperature hot air furnaces and kilns below 980℃, waste heat recovery heat exchange equipment, process buffer pipelines; heat insulation, heat exchange for uniform temperature, buffering of media impact, and protection of downstream packing and equipment.
16–19% alumina inert ceramic balls are a general-purpose, economical industrial support packing material. With excellent chemical inertness, pressure resistance, wear resistance, thermal shock resistance, and stable pressure drop, they are suitable for medium and low temperatures up to 980℃, normal pressure, and acid/alkali conditions without hydrofluoric acid. They are widely used in towers and fixed-bed equipment across various industries, with core functions including catalyst support, uniform gas-liquid distribution, buffering and erosion prevention, pressure drop stabilization, and thermal insulation.
