Activated Alumina Product Introduction
Activated alumina is a kind of porous solid adsorbent made from high-quality aluminium hydroxide through high-temperature activation, molding and calcination. It appears as uniform white spherical pellets with stable physical and chemical properties. Relying on abundant internal pore structure and large specific surface area, this product is widely used as industrial desiccant, water defluoridation medium and catalyst carrier in modern chemical industry.
As an efficient drying medium, activated alumina can effectively absorb water vapor from compressed air, natural gas, petroleum gas and various industrial mixed gas, lowering the dew point of gas steadily for drying tower and adsorption dryer systems. In water treatment projects, the special pore structure enables activated alumina to selectively adsorb fluoride ions in raw water, reaching standard drinking water after purification treatment. Besides adsorption functions, high-purity activated alumina spheres are ideal supporting carrier for chemical catalysts in oil refining, chemical synthesis and tail gas treatment processes.
Our factory strictly controls raw material proportion and calcination temperature. Finished activated alumina features high compressive strength, low wear rate and less dust output during long-term cyclic operation. The product can be regenerated via high-temperature hot air purging for repeated use, which helps customers cut long-term material replacement cost. We supply common particle sizes including 2–3 mm, 3–5 mm, 4–6 mm and 5–8 mm, supporting bulk ton bag packaging and customized indicators according to clients’ actual working conditions.
